In 2018, Damside School’s location in the Kibera community was demolished. The demolition was unexpected and driven by the expansion of a nearby railway station and tracks. A plot of land in the nearby community of Karen was purchased and donated to Damside.

Our goal over the last several years was to raise funds to support the rebuild of the school. We raised over $22,000 to support the build through the amazing generosity of donors.

Over the years, new classrooms, a dormitory, simple, bathrooms, and an administration block have been built at the new site.

There are still many projects to go but Damside has the foundations in place to thrive in the Karen community.

Review our news section to see detailed updates of the work completed over the years.
