Building bathrooms, a new library and other small projects at Damside
In August of 2012, we raised funds mainly to construct new bathrooms at Damside. The bathrooms in place were little more than holes in the ground that were not hygienic or safe for the students. During the construction, we dug out septic pits and constructed safe and clean facilities.
The bathrooms were the largest project but we were able to complete some other smaller projects including constructing a library, purchasing new desks, chairs and shelving units, outfitting 57 students with new uniforms and donating to the food program.
